Roseau, Dominica — September 29, 2025 —The Caribbean Energy Transition Reporting Initiative (CETRI) has announced the opening of its Reporting Grant call, offering US$400 grants to journalists from the English-speaking Caribbean to produce compelling stories on renewable energy and the region’s energy transition.
Recognizing the pivotal role that journalism plays in informing citizens and shaping public discourse, CETRI aims to support freelancers and staff reporters, photographers, radio producers, and multimedia storytellers in producing in-depth, solutions-oriented journalism.
These stories will help communities understand and engage with vital issues such as solar and wind adoption, energy equity, resilience, and policy innovation for a just energy future.
Applications opened on September 29, 2025, and will close on October 19, 2025. Successful applicants will be announced on October 29, 2025, with projects expected to be completed by December 10, 2025. All published stories will be cross-posted on CETRI’s website to maximize regional visibility.
Applicants must submit a project description, distribution plan, writing or multimedia samples and a resume.
